Graduate School Offer
It has been some time, but I wanted to make a note of this before I forget. I was offered to continue through to graduate school here at UNL with pre admissions. I would not have to take the regularly required GRE test due to my superb gpa.
They also offered quite the amount of scholarship as well, however I am content with the amount of schooling I have received and am ready to move on in my life. I have no intention on taking this offer however it gives me great pride to know I earned the opportunity.

Web Development Project
So I had a project for myself which was to create a design in Word Press as I have never worked with WordPress in my life and I felt that I couldn't call my self a web developer without doing just that.
So I have created a setup that sets the stage as an online business. It is not a real business but mostly to try to see if I could succeed in search engine optimization and get a web site in top 5 of google for web development nebraska and web design nebraska.
I also plan to use it to post my ideas about web tools, web news, and anything else with technology. Maybe it will get popular and I can make some money off the advertising but we will see.

Search Engine Optimization
While working web development every day I have been more aware of SEO options and tips, and been reading up on it quite a bit.
My site is not very organized for SEO, however I am doing many things right, but am lazy and been doing many things wrong.
I figure this is more or less my test server for stuff I want to try out and those of you who check my site know my site, not really looking to gain too much traffic of google

Added Nick Tuck . Net and . Info
I continue to be pushed down on rankings for Nick Tuck and it is really starting to bother me. So I obtained Nick Tuck .net and Nick Tuck .info.
Hopefully these will help me stay up at the top once they get indexed. They will point straight to here basically, however having the domains nick tuck should help. I wanted Nick Tuck .com however that was registered, and they renewed it this year, but they are not using it.
Oh well this should do for now.

Web Development
After working a few months as the Web Director and sole programmer, I have learned so much about the web development business. I wanted to eventually lead into programming/software engineering, however web development has such a potential for helping so many local businesses you can easily travel anywhere and get it going. Heck we have clients in Chicago that heard of us by word of mouth, you don't need to be there for web development, you just need to be good.
Raises a lot of ideas of if I could spend my life being a web programmer, or if I should try to still pursue a career in software. Only time will tell I guess.

Got a New Job!
So it feels extremely nice when you get asked in for an interview without applying. I was contacted by a friend of mine Nosika wondering if I was still interesting in a web development position as they had yet to find a viable candidate they felt comfortable with.
After sending over my resume and sending over some portfolio items I had an interview. That interview went great I think, especially since I got the job right after.
They hired me as a web developer to start and see how I do during the 'evaluation period' however they have hopes of promoting me to web director shortly after if all goes well.
I am super excited to have a full time job programming, designing, and working with customers doing everything I love to do on my own time.
